If a victim/witness travels out of county to appear and testify at a hearing/trial they may be entitled to mileage reimbursement. If a victim/ witness travels out of county/state and is required to stay overnight, they may be entitled to mileage reimbursement and per diem. Hotel accommodations are billed directly to the County if booked through the Victim/Witness Coordinator. Do not assume expenses are reimbursable without confirmation in advance.
If you are subpoenaed as a witness to appear and your appearance requires an overnight stay, contact the Victim/Witness Coordinator immediately to discuss travel arrangements.
